Previously, I have a category on what Fashion Juice uses. I’ve removed that to simplify the categories to your left. So now, I’ll just have to categorize them according to the topic of the feature even if it’s something I use or own or just something that interests me.
Here is a beauty product that I own and use that I would like to share, Redken. Redken is my fave brand when it comes to shampoo and conditioner. I decided to feature it after hearing about the brand winning a couple of awards last June during the 2008 Stylist Choice Awards for the Hair and Salon Industry. Of course, I was thrilled that a lot of people love the brand that I use. Thus, may I share with you the Redken Hair Products that I use.
So last June, the 2008 Stylist Choice Awards for Favorite Conditioner, of course went to Redken for their “All Soft Conditioner” hair product. It detangles and replenshises hair to provide intense softness, movement and shine. Advanced silkening formulas contain Redken’s exclusive Interbond Conditioning System and illuminating Silk-Luxe Complex. A lot of users love this product except for its scent. I was supposed to get this too but I favoured the Smooth Down (above) instead.
After a couple of hair colors, I felt my hair has become too dry. Now, I’ll be using hair color only 2 to 3 times a year. In fact, my hairdresser, Onde of F! Salon in Greenbelt 3, tells me to color my hair only every 6 months or else I’ll be making my hair miserable. My hair wasn’t a problem back then since he regularly treats my hair with Oleo Relax every month. But now that he’s far away, and the prices here in the US aren’t as friendly as the $25-30 I pay back in the Philippines, my hair has become dull and dry. So when I went to Ulta Salon, I consulted with my hairdresser. I loved the shampoo and conditioner she used on me. In fact, even after several hours, after going shopping, staying outside under the sun, and having dinner, the smell of the product was still there. The next day, the shine and softness was still there - even after I have already showered! Thus, I ended up going back and buying the Redken Smooth Down Shampoo and Conditioner.
Going back, the best award in the 2008 Stylist Choice Awards, the Favorite Overall Professional Products Company award went to Redken (winner for the last seven consecutive years)! OMG seven consecutive years? They must really be that good! I was even thinking of trying other brands that could be better than my Redken. I was researching until I found these information. Thus, I’ve decided to just stick to the brand.
Although if you’re wondering what other brands I’m looking into, I was checking out Frederic Fekkai and Phyto - another two popular favorites in the US especially in Hollywood.
Redken has a stellar reputation in the salon industry. The 48-year-old company believes this stems from its solid past of science with inspiration from the industry’s best educators and a street sense of fashion that keeps Redken on the cutting edge. Below are the different varieties of their hair products. Check out what’s best for you and try them now!
TIP: these aren’t available in big retailers like Walmart, Target, etc. You can get them at Ulta and other salons.
