I know this post is a bit late but as they always say, better late than never.
So we went to Allen Premium Outlets for Midnight Madness last November 28, right after Thanksgiving Dinner. Just about 1 to 2 miles (or more) before reaching the outlet, we were surprised to see a lot of cars lined up on the road. We thought there was an accident of some sort but, oh no… all these cars were lined up on the entrance of Allen Premium Outlets! Then, some of the cars beside us started turning their cars to the grassy side of the highway. Wow! Seriously? After a couple of minutes, we started seeing a lot of cars doing the same thing. They started parking beside the highway. Haha. So, of course, the line got shorter and we were already near the entrance. But, it seems there’s really no way to get a parking space. So hubby found another entrance without cars lined up. Well there were still a couple of cars but not like the other main entrance. So we went there instead. We were in luck because right where we stopped, there was a couple ready to leave the outlet. Thank God!
First stop is Adidas - as requested by Dear Hubby. Haha. I was surprised because he’s usually the one avoiding shopping expenditures. Haha. So when we got in, he went to the shoes section where we bought his black Adidas Goodyear Racing Shoes. We both found (and fell in love) with a black and dark red (maroonish) Goodyear Racing Shoes. I know he just bought a black one and I just gave him a brown one, but this Black and Red looked soooo good I told him we couldn’t pass on this one. What’s more? All the items, whether regular or sale price, get an additional 30% off on checkout. So we got this Adidas Goodyear Racing Shoes (to your right) for just $34.99! Of course, here are a couple of photos along with the other Adidas Goodyear Racing Shoes hubby has.
Adidas should already give us a free pair next time for always featuring them here. Haha.
Next up is for hubby again. We went inside Perry Ellis and found this gorgeous black jacket. We’ve been looking for a really nice one at a bargain price and this was the one. Sorry about the photo since I took this later that night after all the tiring shopping spree. Anyway, the material is like a water-proof fabric yet looks great for a decent outfit. It can withstand the cold here as long as hubby wears long sleeves inside it. It’s a great bargain for a Perry Ellis jacket below $50.
Again, this gaming mouse from Logitech is for Hubby. It was weird because I didn’t find a lot of stuff for me. It was cold and was drizzling while we were there and there were so many people so I felt exhausted to shop. Although I did, of course. But perhaps I wasn’t in a shopping mode during that time. Haha. Hubby was happy.
I was impatient with the Ralph Lauren and Coach store so I didn’t mind looking for things to buy. The line just to get inside the Coach store reached almost half way to the other side of the outlet. The RL line circled inside the store and they didn’t turn on their vent or A/C so you can smell a stale scent of air which included the sweat of those inside. Going back, hubby needed to get a mouse as his old one is about to give up on him. So being a “Gamer” that he is, he insisted on getting a Gaming Mouse instead. Oh wait, he said it was OK to get the ordinary mouse but made a “sad little boy” face while glimpsing on the gaming mouse. So of course, we had to get the gaming mouse for about $42++. But on checkout, it was $37! Great find!
At Bestbuy, we were able to buy Transformers in Blu-Ray for just $9.99. We wanted to get another one but the other titles were not that good. So we decided to get another Blu-Ray disc for a couple bucks more. We got the Kung Fu Panda (because we missed it) for $16.99. Again, these are great bargains! Imagine how much a Blu-Ray Disc would cost… $29, $35, $39? Yet Transformers was just $9.99. Definitely a must-get.
Finally, my first purchase of the day came in at about 7 am when we headed on to Northpark Center. Haha. Of course, my first stop was Forever 21. Even if these tops aren’t for the cold season, I had to get them because they were just $4.99 and Buy One Get One Free! Yup, $4.99 for these two! Great bargain! And I can even wear them inside a cozy wool jacket or perhaps wear a fit longsleeves inside if I really wanted to wear them now. Nevertheless, it’s too good a deal to pass up.
A wool coat for 21 bucks? Yup 21 bucks at Forever21. Haha. Yes, this coat only costs $21. It’s a great find I’m telling you. All the ladies who passed the middle section where this coat hangs, made sure to grab one. It was such a bargain. Forever21 has them in cream (so luxe), purple, yellow, and red. I wanted to get the purple and cream together with this black but I had to sacrifice a bit because I’ve been spending too much over the couple of months. At the same time, I have to save for something big… I mean Hubby and I have to save for something big (again, as usual, Haha).
The photo does not do justice to both pieces but I assure you, they’re gorgeous when worn. The skirt fits me right (sits low on waist), while the top is something I’ve always wanted - the white and black color block. These two are also from Forever21. I had a hard time looking for something to wear during the Holidays but eventually ended up with this blouse and skirt. I wanted to get a dress - like a sweetheart dress - but couldn’t find any that I like. It’s kinda weird coz I wanted a lot of dresses from their website but once you see them in real life, it’s totally different. Anyway, you’ll see more of these two in the future when I wear them this Holiday season.
You know what would match this outfit perfectly? A Chanel Flap Bag! Hahaha! But… not this year, though. Perhaps the next?
Thank goodness because at last, I made a purchase at Urban Outfitters. Haha. But unexpectedly, I only got accessories this time. I got the trendy tights for $16, the Pocahontas headband for $14, and oh the belt shown here is a free item that goes with the Forever21 blouse I bought early on. I got the tights and headband because they match. Haha. I’ll be wearing them with my gray T-Shirt dress for the holidays too.
On the other hand, hubby got a great deal on T-shirts at Urban Outfitters. Actually, he was sleeping at that time while I was lurking at the men’s section. Good for him he got an Urban Outfitter’s shirt while I got only accessories. But the thing is, his shirt was just $9.99! Another great find - imagine my headband is even more expensive than his shirt!
Lastly, I got something from Gucci. When we were at Neiman Marcus in Allen Premium Outlets, it took me an hour (or even more), just at the sunglasses section, trying on the different sunglasses in there. I really wanted this caramel colored Gucci sunglasses which had protruding interlocking G gold hardware on both sides. However, I was restraining myself. It took me awhile to think and finally decided to leave it. So Neiman Marcus was our last stop at Allen Premium Outlets. By that time (5am), I was already tired and sleepy… yet we still have to go to Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, etc etc etc… So imagine how cranky I already was and still, when I got inside the car to go to our next shopping spot, I was still thinking about the Gucci sunglasses. So later on, when we went to Grapevine Mills where another Neiman Marcus Last Call is available, I immediately went to check on the sunglasses. And to my dismay, they’re not available here. Too bad… But I fell in love with this purple sunglasses too. So, after another hour of trying them on and consulting with Dear Hubby, he finally got it for me. Awww… thanks Hun! By the way, the original price of this Gucci sunglasses is $330 but they are usually around $105 at Neiman Marcus Last Call. But on Thanksgiving, you get an additional 30% off! So I got my Gucci sunglasses for less than a hundred bucks! The photos were taken at night so please bear with me. Don’t worry because by tomorrow, I’ll be posting better quality photos. * wink *
So if you liked what we got, make sure that next Thanksgiving Sale, you go out there and shop! Haha! Try holding off your shopping between September to November and go all out by Thanksgiving.
Hope you had a great time last Thanksgiving and hope you found great shopping bargains too!
