Oh my goodness. I know I’ve already scheduled my posts until I get back from vacation and I’ve done 1 post a day. However, I just really want to share this news with you my dear fashionistas! My favorite book series - the Shopaholic Series from Sophie Kinsella, has been made into a movie, starring Isla Fisher! OMG! I am so thrilled! I remember staying up for hours just to finish the book in two days or so… and then ended up buying each and every part of the Shopaholic series. It all started with “Can you keep a Secret?” another book from author Sophie Kinsella. Then, I got hooked. I then looked for her other titles and found the Confessions of a Shopaholic. Since then, I always checked at Powerbooks just to see if she’s releasing another installment of my Favorite Fashionista Book! Well of course, after having read them all and moving to a new home, I couldn’t bring them with me. So, I left it with my dear Fashionista friend Lush Angel. OMG Lush! We should see this movie!!! Let’s try a couple of days without the shopping news, but I highly doubt I can resist the temptation. Just for a couple of posts (hehe), I’d like to focus on interesting things that I’m sure a True Fashionista will enjoy. I am not much of a fan of Britney Spears previously. However, her comeback this year has earned her more fans! Well, it’s not like I’m an obsessed fanatic of some sort, but I have to give her credit for getting her act together. She lost major pounds, she came clean, she’s the most searched in the Internet for I think 5 years, she revamped her website, she’s back to showing her great performances, and her album Circus is number 1! So to Britney Spears: GREAT WORK! So, I’m just gonna share with you her music video even thought you have probably seen it before. But, as a Fashionista, I can’t help but share this video to ask you girlies to check on the first few scenes where Britney Spears opened up her BULGARI jewelry case with the stunning earrings and necklace! This video is really amazing - a dog rescues another dog. I felt sad watching the first dog get bumped by some van or truck (only if I can understand the language used by the reporter). But I was glad that another dog came to the rescue. If this scene really happened, I’m just hoping the other dog was able to survive. I love dogs so much. My Obsession is taking me to greater heights… one that involves Gossip Girl characters and expensive, to-die-for labels (once again). Well, Polyvore really got me hooked as I can’t stop creating outfits that I long to wear. On one note, photos aren’t always what they seem. Items may look nice in a picture but IRL, it may look crappy - the reason why I have kept myself from buying online products - unless I’ve actually seen them and have tried them on or simply trust the brand that much to have to order it online. Anyway, this time I’m feeling Blair-ish, as in Blair Waldorf, my favorite character from Gossip Girl. So I’ve created an outfit that I like, inspired by Blair Waldorf’s style. Of course, I did it with a little help from Chanel, Gucci, and Christian Louboutin’s… oh, not to forget Blair Waldorf’s signature - ribbons, ruffles, and of course - the HEADBAND! I just love watching Gossip Girl!
Just some itsy bitsy gossip on the side, Vanessa and Chuck have been seen kissing… I mean Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr - SPOTTED! They were at the Dallas Airport last Tuesday - doing some lip locking! OMG!
I know its been awhile since all the buzz about Eva Mendes’ sexy commercial for Calvin Klein perfume, Secret Obsession. Remember US banning the commercial and questioning the billboards too? Well if you’re interested why US banned the commercial for CK Secret Obsession and wondering what Eva Mendes showed in the video, then you might want to see it for yourself. Last weekend, Hubby and I watched the movie, Quantum of Solace. We watched one of the last shows of the night because we still came from a dinner with friends. Anyhow, since it was the first weekend of the movie, I was expecting a lot of viewers albeit there was barely people watching. There were like about 15 people inside the movie house when we entered. Hmm… It could simply be two things: (1) there were 4 auditoriums showing the movie in that AMC Theater so there were enough seats for everyone, or (2) we are seeing the effect of the economy. In fact, the movie tickets come with a free large (very large) soda and large (again very large) popcorn. I’m just hoping it’s not because of a bad review…
